Council Leader Jeremy Birch has released a vlog explaining some of the main budget plans the council will make.

£200, 000 will be invested into giving shopping centre Priory Meadow a “face lift”, which is the biggest investment it has received since it was built.

Cllr Jeremy Birch said: “In these very challenging times for local councils good management of our finances and planning ahead is crucial”.

Other investments include £250, 000 allocated to the rebuild of the Pier and £250, 000 contribution to win a lottery grant to improve Hastings Castle.

The consultation will be released for month, which is open to comments from the public.

A cabinet will agree on a final budget towards the end of February.
