Alcohol Concern, a small national charity that is trying to change the drinking culture in the UK, begin their latest campaign to people to give up alcohol for the whole of January.

The charity will be hoping to help people stick to their New Years resolutions, whilst raising money at the same time.

This comes after a Christmas period when Sussex Police put in place 'Operation Butterfly' in order to crack down on drink drivers, with 21 motorists being charged with alcohol related offences as part of the drink driving campaign.

The campaign organisers say that Dry January will also help people to lose weight, feel energised and save money.

You can receive regular support from Alcohol Concern by email, and there is advice and tips on the Dry January Facebook site and at Twitter.
