Britain was hit by a bitter storm last night with the South East of England most affected.
52 Yellow flood warnings had been issued by Wednesday evening and by this morning the effects of the elements were already evident.
In Rye, there was localised flooding and other local areas such as Crowhurst were also affected.
In Hastings, torrential rain, high winds reaching up to 70mph and hail storms have been tearing through the town for the most part of this week.
Trains have also been disrupted due to the weather with South Eastern reporting delays.
Hastings Borough Council have also implemented their Severe Weather Response Plan so that people affected can be dealt with effectively and swiftly.
People have been advised to stay warm and to avoid the coastline.
