Hastings Pier is giving its own gift to the community, this festive period. The Pier Charity has transformed the space into Peter Pan’s Neverland, in collaboration with the Peter Pan pantomime showing at the White Rock Theatre.
Amongst the decorations are a mountain-top slide and pirate ship, open to both young children and those who never want to grow up, like Peter Pan himself.
By the end of this week, the pier will also be home to Kensington Garden Christmas stalls, festive food kiosks and a grotto. Various workshops are also being run, in order to engage the local community, with a particular focus on families. Over 300 families have already enjoyed workshops such as Christmas decoration construction, with snowglobe making and a gingerbread competition still to follow.
