Clyde House and Leolyn care homes will be shutting its doors later this year, leaving families of the residents distraught and looking for alternate places for the vulnerable people living in both homes.

Many of the residents at both homes suffer with illnesses such as dementia and have a lack of mobility. The closure of the homes could see people who need supervision and help facing the possibility of not having anywhere to stay.

A spokesperson for New Century Care who own Clyde house has said that they will be working very closely with residents, families and the appropriate authorities to find the right new home to meet ever individual’s needs.
