New Hastings manager Nigel Kane has started his tenure with a victory after the Us beat Horsham Tow 2-1.  Evan Archibald headed home for the victory deep into injury time.  Kane who is started his second reign as Hastings manager was delighted.

“ I’m absolutely ecstatic to be back at Hastings.   I couldn’t apply for the job last year due to work commitments”

Kane managed Hastings in the 2005/2006 seasons where he led the team to promotion.

“ The win last night was massive, I am relieved to start with a victory, the result disguised the performance a bit, but nevertheless a win is a win.

A top ten finish is the real goal now, anything above that is a bonus”.

The victory moves Hastings up to 18th in the league and Us fans will be feeling very optimistic about Kane’s second spell as manager.
