Hastings United chairman Dave Walters has been speaking about the clubs turbulent year.
Hastings appointed Nigel Kane as the clubs third permanent manager of the season.
Kane who previously led the Us to promotion in the 2006/2007season was sacked after failing to win any of his first four games in the new division.
But with the managerial merry go round at the club, Walters was glad he bought back Kane.
“He’s certainly been the most successful manager in the 11 years that I have been with the club. He led us to promotion in 2007 and has been helping out at the club in various roles since, it was the obvious choice”
Kane was appointed on the 6th of January and got off to a flying start in his first game winning 2-1 away at Horsham.
Walters went on to talk about Kane’s progress this year.
“ I am pleased with his progress so far, won two and lost two is good considering the start of the season we have had”
Hastings are now up to 17th in the league and the chairman hopes the Us can finish higher.
“ The goal now is to end the season as high up the league as we possibly can, but the main objective is to avoid relegation, ill be happy with that”
