The National Obesity Forum is calling on health officials to introduce campaigns to try and curb the growing problem of obesity.
They are demanding front line support from family doctors and calling on them to check waistlines.
Professor David Haslam, chairman of the national obesity forum told Sky news: ”Not only is the obesity situation in the UK not improving but the doomsday scenario set out in that report might underestimate the true scale of the problem.”
Professor Kevin Fenton, Director at Public Health England, said: ''It is a complex issue that requires action at national, local, family and individual level.
Everyone has a role to play."
When we took to the streets, we were amazed to discover that even people who think they are fat think being overweight is irresponsible.
