Hastings Pub makes national final

The Crown Pub, fresh from being a regional winner is now in the national final of the Parliamentary Pub of the year. The chairman of the all party parliamentary pub group, Toby Perkins, launched the competition In the summer of 2018 seeking to recognise the important role pubs play in British life and the value they add to the local communities and economy. On the 15th January the overall winner will be revealed after a panel of judges review all the finalists. Hoping to be the king of all pubs, The Crown in Hastings was nominated by Amber Rudd to be in the parliamentary pub competition.  Now in the final 14, the competition will be much stiffer. The Crown, however, is due to put it's best drinks forward to try to impress. Head bartender Nathan Paige weighed in saying "winning the competition will help bolster the local community. The Pub will now be hoping for their Drinks to be ready for competition and for the crown to impress by looking flawless on the inside and out.  Frank kehinde Brighton broadcaster news

Hastings artist Eden Kötting has displayed her new collection “AHOY! Their, There, They’re” at the See Spray Gallery in Queens Road, which will be running until the 25th of January.

Rachel Glittenberg New Exhibition Preview

In May, Rachel Glittenberg was one of the twenty-four artists who took part in the 15th Anniversary show of the Hastings Arts Forum. This weekend, she will be holding a demonstration of her paintings on a much larger scale.
