Bonfire night has arrived once again and the people of Sussex are not short of venues to attend to celebrate the occasion! To make things easier for our readers, we have laid out the most exciting of Brighton's fireworks/bonfire shows happening tonight.
Why not kick things off with the best view in town? Feel like you are amongst the explosive display like never before by standing 162 metres high in the i360 with the fireworks! Starting at 7:15pm you can spend 45 minutes in the stars whilst watching a spectacular fireworks show light up the South Coast skies. There are few events like this so it is well worth going if you are not afraid of heights.
If you would rather not have the same view as the gulls tonight to watch the fireworks, fear not; you still have many options.
The Sussex Cricket Fireworks Night is back this year and is set to light up the skies with a fantastic display of colour, coupled with music and entertainment. The event also does its part in supporting two local charities: Marlets Hospice and the Sussex Cricket Foundation. Who can argue with helping the community whilst having fun?
It would be a crime not to mention the nationally famed Lewes Bonfire event which is said to be "utterly incredible" by organisers. The event includes a procession of the martyrs' crosses, colonial soldiers carrying flaming torches, exploding banners and political effigies of Trump and Johnson to be burned. It is not to be missed.
Planners warn that eye and hearing protection are recommended "as Guy Fawkes intended the night is a health and safety disaster."
